My first passion for many years and still is has been working with young adolescents  in the areas of Special Education, Resource and Guidance. Now I have a second passion which is yoga and mindfullness. I truly believe these two passions go hand in hand. The art of practicing yoga and mindfulness helps to control ones mind, body and soul. It helps to manage stress and anxiety while keeping  oneself in a state of relaxation. 

Yoga and mindfulness is a way of living and Yogic exercises and breathing facilitates :

Attainment of perfect equilibrium and harmony

Promotes self-healing

Increases self-awareness

Removes negativity from the mind and toxins from the body

Helps in attention focus and concentration, especially important for children

Reduces stress and tension in the physical body by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which controls the body's ability to "rest and digest"

Enhances personal power

As the oldest woman in the YTT course, I wanted to become a teacher that makes people feel comfortable  in the classroom. Yoga should be approachable at any age or physical ability, that's what modifications are for.
